Gillingham will look to bounce back from Wednesday night’s defeat to Sunderland when Coventry City come to Medway Priestfield on Saturday afternoon.
Despite the 4-1 loss to the Wearsiders, Steve Lovell’s side played well in midweek and can count themselves unlucky to have gone down by such a scoreline.
Taking an early lead through Tom Eaves gave real cause for optimism for the majority of the 8,000 plus strong crowd, but The Gills were made to pay by a clinical Sunderland side and at the other end, they were guilty of not taking their own chances.
Even though they were beaten comfortably, Lovell isn’t expected to make many, if any at all, changes to a settled looking side.
The front three of Eaves, Josh Parker and Brandon Hanlan are expected to lead the line once again, with Parker set to go on international duty soon.
With a number of players still carrying injuries, the squad almost picks itself with Lovell hopeful the likes of Josh Rees and Dean Parrett will soon be available for selection.
A decent crowd is once again expected for the visit of the Sky Blues.
