Gillingham have learnt that they will play Leyton Orient in the FA Cup Second Round if they see their way past Bournemouth.
Following Saturday’s 3-3 draw at Dean Court courtesy of a late Danny Kedwell goal, The Gills were drawn away to Leyton Orient if they beat the Cherries at Priestfield on Tuesday 22nd November.
Andy Hessenthaler’s side will fancy their chances of making it through to the Second Round after coming back from 3-1 down to earn a replay.
Should they make it through, they will face the O’s who beat Bromley 3-0 on Saturday with the scheduled date of Saturday 3rd or Sunday 4th December for the tie.
The last time the two sides met at the Matchroom Stadium in December 2009, some of the Gillingham players turned up late for the game and referee Andy D’Urso refused to delay kick off.
In the end. the O’s went on to win the game 3-1 with Curtis Weston scoring for The Gills.
