Gillingham have announced which players they wish to retain with four players to be released.
Club captain Doug Loft is one of those to be released as they are out of contract and he will be leaving Priestfield along with goalkeeper Glenn Morris, Brennan Dickenson and winger Jermaine McGlashan.
John Egan, Mitchell Dickenson, Elliott List, Aaron Morris, Stuart Nelson, Emmanuel Osadebe and Josh Wright have all been offered new deals as their existing contracts expire imminently, while midfielder Darren Oldaker has been offered professional terms at the club.
All four players that are leaving joined the club in the summer of 2014; Loft has served as club captain ever since, and scored six goals in his 70 appearances for the Gills.
Like Loft, former Brighton trainee Dickenson played in Sunday’s season finale against Millwall, his 38th league start for the club.
McGlashan joined on a free transfer from Cheltenham Town, and scored seven goals in his first season for the club, but started just six league games in the 2015/16 campaign.
Former Southend and Aldershot goalkeeper Morris kept three clean sheets in the 11 appearances he made for the Gills, all of which came last season.
