Gillingham have confirmed that Bradley Garmston has left MEMS Priestfield Stadium after the player, along with the club, decided to terminate his contract by mutual consent.
The 26-year-old left-back initially joined the club on loan from West Bromwich Albion in January 2015, making nine appearances and scoring one goal prior to agreeing a three-year deal with the Gills in the summer of 2015. He agreed a new two-year contract in the summer of 2018 and, in total, played 101 times and scored three goals.
Manager Steve Evans said: “Bradley needs to play football.
“We offered to move him on back in the summer but he wanted to try and fight to get into the matchday squad, an admirable quality.
“Sadly that never happened. He will no doubt find a club, he’s a really dedicated young man who just wants to play first team football at EFL level.”
