Young Gillingham defender Sam Gale put pen to paper on a new contract at MEMS Priestfield this afternoon.

Gale will stay at the club until the Summer of 2027, with the option to extend that agreement by a further year.
The 20-year-old has broken into the first team in recent weeks, and despite defeat at home to Notts County, Gale was one of the home sides standout performers.
He has also had a loan spell at Chelmsford City this season, as well as Sheppey United and Hastings United in the last few seasons.
Speaking about signing his contract, Gale said: “I am over the moon to secure my future at this club. It is something I have worked hard for.
“It has happened quite quickly but I am really happy about it. It’s a nice feeling.”
