Howard Fuller is returning to Team Hard Racing to make a challenge for the 2015 VW Cup Championship it has been announced today.

Fuller is a valued part of the Team Hard family and it is a statement of the teams intent that the young driver who has raced in the BTCC has returned to take on the VW Cup once again.

This will be a huge year for the team as they look to continue their long term association with the VW Cup but more importantly for Howard, this will be only his second full season he will compete in following several guest drives in a variety of championships from Radicals to the BTCC over the past couple of seasons. Howard was a race winner in a one off appearance in the 2012 VW Cup at the Rockingham round.

Howard will join the team with title sponsorship coming from Solar Advanced Systems (www.solaradvancedsystems.co.uk) and Trina Solar (www.trinasolar.com). Howard will pilot a stunning looking newly built Golf GTI R. This marks the beginning of an exciting new working partnership and is just the start of things to come.

Already the team have an amazing relationship that has already seen Solar extend their coverage to a second car after agreeing a deal to feature on the sides of Simon Rudd’s car for 2015.

Speaking about the opportunity to return to the VW Cup, a delighted Howard said: “I am genuinely overwhelmed with the support of Solar Advanced Systems and Trina Solar as well as the team and cannot wait to get behind the wheel for a second full campaign.

“I have so much ambition and have worked hard to put a package together throughout the close season so that we can have a real go at pushing for the championship in 2015.

“I’m looking forward to working with everyone involved to develop as a team, driver and car as it’s so important for everything to come together.”

Team Principal Tony Gilham is also delighted to see Fuller return to the fold for the coming campaign and sees a big future for the rising star.

He said: “Howard has shown his outstanding potential with his performances over the years and is a joy to work with both on and off track. No doubt he will be pushing as hard as ever to prove his ability as a top level racing driver.

“Howard is a perfect fit for the team and I’m sure he will be looking to challenge for the overall championship honours. We saw how quick Howard can be on his day with fastest laps and lap records in 2014. Unfortunately there were a few incidents last year and lady luck just wasn’t on his side at times.”
