Fosu and Page available for Wembley

Tariqe Fosu and Lewis Page should be available for the play-off final at the end of the month if the Addicks are involved.

Head of Medical Services, Alastair Thrush, updated fans on the situation in his weekly bulletin on Wednesday.

Fosu damaged his hamstring in the win at Portsmouth. The winger would be a tremendous asset to introduce as an impact sub from the bench at Wembley.

Page has been a revelation since returning from a long spell on the sidelines. He has shown an attacking edge not previously seen to his game, to add to his solid defensive abilities.

Anfernee Dijksteel‎ has recovered from the hamstring injury he picked up at Shrewsbury, and should be available for Saturday’s match at Rochdale. Here is what the club’s statement said:

“Tariqe Fosu is progressing well and completed his first outside straight line runs with the club’s physios on Tuesday morning.

“Fosu, who injured his left hamstring in the win against Portsmouth last month‎, will require some further strengthening sessions in the gym before his final functional and speed work can begin.

“It is hoped he will return to training in around 10 days.

“Lewis Page sustained a deep laceration to his right knee from the studs of Ben Amos’ boot against ‎Blackburn.

“This required stitching post-match and the aim over the next few days is to reduce the swelling and protect the stitches.

“Page is likely to be sidelined for the next two weeks in order to allow the wound to heal fully.

“Anfernee Dijksteel has progressed ahead of schedule with his rehabilitation for the hamstring injury he sustained against Shrewsbury last month.

“He has re-joined full training and should be available for Saturday’s trip to Rochdale.”

There was also good news about Billy Clarke and Chris Solly.

Clarke should commence running outside this month, while Solly should be fit in time to take part in pre-season training.
