Dover Athletic manager Nicky Forster has begun his clearout of the current playing staff after missing out on the Blue Square Bet South league play-offs.
Forster held individual meetings with players on Monday evening to inform them of his decisions as to who he will be keeping with Shane Huke, Michael Corcoran, Lee Hook, Barry Cogan, Tom Axford, Steve Watt, Glen Southam and Billy Bricknell all having been offered new deals by the Whites.
Dover Athletic have given these players until Friday May 11th to accept these offers. Meanwhile, they have announced that Mikhael Ruiz, Phil Starkey, Micheal Noone, Ed Harris, Jemal Johnson, James Walker and Donovan Simmonds have been released whilst striker George Purcell has had his contract terminated by mutual consent.
That leaves just Sean Raggett, Tom Wynter, Lloyd Harrington and Terry Dixon as contracted players at Perry’s Crabble for next season.
Dover Athletic issued the following statement after Monday’s series of meetings:
“We would like to thank all the players that are leaving Crabble for their efforts during their time at the club and wish them well for the future.”
