The Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain returns this weekend as the season moves to Oulton Park.Jamun Racing

Once again Rochester based Jamun Racing will be back on grid and since the last race there have been a few changes at the team.

Luke Williams has left to pursue a career in the newly launched Formula Four Championship, he has been replaced by South African champion Jayde Kruger.

Argentinian duo Juan Rosso and Nico Maranzana will be back on track and looking to showcase their talents and challenge for further podiums.

Meanwhile the 25-year-old gets his first competitive outing with the Jamun team at Oulton for rounds ten, eleven and twelve of the season.

He is no novice though and has ten years of single seater experience in his native South Africa and he will be hoping to challenge Dan Cammish the runaway leader in Formula Ford from the off.

He has had the opportunity to get behind the wheel and test the car and he did that at the team’s home track of Brands Hatch last week.

Speaking about the test and his first race weekend, Jayde said: “It was good to get out in the car at last. It will take me time to get used to the turbo – it’s slightly different from what I’m used to driving. But I enjoyed my first time in the Mygale, despite the different feel.

“To be honest, testing opportunities have been quite limited – I would have liked a bit more, but there was no time.” Kruger’s first outing in a Formula Ford around the challenging Oulton circuit will come in Friday’s pre-race test sessions.

The action gets underway on Friday with two test sessions ahead of qualifying and race ten of the season on Saturday. There will be two further races on Sunday, with live coverage as part of the BTCC coverage on ITV4.
