Queens Park Rangers released eight payers on Monday, including former Charlton player, Danny Shittu, and recent loanee, Lee Cook.
Hammersmith born, Cook is a lifelong QPR fan and has spent seven seasons at Loftus Road in his two spells with the club.
Watford spotted him playing for Aylesbury United and Lee had four seasons at Vicarage Road before joining his boyhood idols.
A move to near neighnours Fulham never worked out and it was during his spell at Craven Cottage that Cook had his first loan spell at The Valley.
The left-winger, who will be thirty in August, has become a peripheral figure at Loftus Road as the West London outfit have progressed to the Premier League.
Cook is a classy player with an eye for goal and could be a useful addition for Chris Powell to have at his disposal next season.
