Football fans will unite in Kent this weekend with Gillingham’s fans set to face their Ebbsfleet counterparts to raise money for the non league club.Ebbsfleet v Gills2

With Ebbsfleet United’s financial position having been made quite clear over the past few months, Gillingham fans have offered to take a team to Stonebridge Road on Saturday afternoon to take on a Craig Sone XI to raise as much money to help Fleet survive.

Prior to the news that former Charlton Athletic CEO Peter Varney is heading up a Kuwaiti consortium that is interested in taking over the club, Ebbsfleet fans had agreed the fixture with the Gills fans to see if they could lend their support to the cause.

Kick off is at 3pm on Saturday and the game is free entry for all and anyone wishing to attend the game can watch the FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Wigan Athletic in the bar afterwards.

There will be a BBQ and fans are encouraged to come along and anyone wishing to make donations are more than welcome to do so.
