Ebbsfleet United will host Gillingham in a pre-season friendly at Stonebridge Road on Saturday 2nd August.

Just one week before the League One season starts, Peter Taylor is expected to take a strong side to face Steve Brown’s team in the latest of local clashes to be announced.

It’s a repeat of the pre-season clash between the two teams having met two years ago with Martin Allen’s side then going on to win 3-2 thanks to a brace from Danny Kedwell and a goal from Ben Strevens.

Moses Ashikodi was to score both Fleet goals on that day with The Gills fielding a strong side at Stonebridge Road.

Gillingham now have a number of fixtures lined up for the pre-season against local opposition with Peter Taylor sending his side to face the likes of Bromley, Dartford and Dover Athletic.

Meanwhile, Ebbsfleet United will play host to Charlton Athletic, Dagenham & Redbridge and Portsmouth along with entertaining The Gills on the last weekend before their new season in the Skrill South starts with the game to kick off at 3pm.
