Ebbsfleet United will have to wait another week to play York City in the FA Trophy after their game was postponed for a second time.
Liam Daish’s side made the long journey north on Friday with the pitch said to have been covered and playable. An initial pitch inspection at 9am on Saturday was inconclusive and another inspection was called for at 12:30pm.
That inspection revealed frozen areas of the pitch and the game was subsequently postponed leaving Daish and his side frustrated.
It was scheduled to have then been played on Tuesday night, but officials have moved fast to prevent Ebbsfleet having another wasted trip by calling the game off early with snow on the Bootham Crescent pitch and it will now be played on Tuesday 14th February.
Should Fleet make it past York City, they will be away to either Bath City or Grimsby Town on the Fourth Round.
Meanwhile, Dartford have been drawn away to Cambridge United or Guiseley in the Fourth Round should they be able to see their way past Wealdstone.
They like Ebbsfleet United had to postpone Saturday’s game and have already cancelled Tuesday night’s game following a pitch inspection at Princes Park at 1pm on Monday.
There will now be a pitch inspection at 1pm on Wednesday afternoon with a view to getting the game scheduled for 7:45pm on Wednesday evening.
