There has been a busy day for new Maidstone United boss Harry Wheeler today down at the Gallagher Stadium as he puts his mark on his new side. 
The new stones boss has signed no less than five new players today as he shapes his squad following his appointment as they take on Braintree Town this weekend.
First arrival for the Stones was defender Lawrie Wilson who has joined the club on an initial one month loan deal from Ebbsfleet United, as Wheeler adds experience in the form of the 31-year-old right back. Wilson brings with him a wealth of experience with almost 300 football league appearances for Charlton, Bolton and Stevenage.
Next through the door was midfielder Olumide Durojaye who moves to Maidstone from tomorrow’s opponents Braintree Town. He had played every game for Braintree this season, and has also played for Falkirk and Brechin City. Last season Durojaye was part of the squad at Welling United in National League South.
The third new signing of today was the loan deal for Jack Doyle who arrives at the club from Blackburn Rovers, the 21-year old has joined the Stones on a three month loan deal from the Championship club.
Hartlepool United striker Jake Cassidy was the fourth new signing for Wheeler today. He has joined from National League rivals and the 25-year-old will be with the Stones until January.
Cassidy has plenty of Football league experience having played for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Notts County and Southend as well as Oldham Athletic.
The final signing of the day for the Stones is striker Norman Wabo who has joined on a one month loan deal from Southend United, the 20-year-old played three times for the Shrimpers, and then spent the last part of the season on-loan with Ebbsfleet United.
There was also player movement of a player out this afternoon as Jordy Robins has dual signed with Margate and joins the Gate squad who are light on numbers, gaining some much needed experience.
All of the new signings are available for selection for tomorrow afternoon’s fixture against Braintree Town.
