Sunday saw the Adults take to the pitches in the first round of games in the 2017/18 season.
This first event was a grading event to make sure we had the correct ability in each division.
Maidstone United Raiders FC entered the first all-female team into the league which is great news for women’s disability football as well as the league.
It was a sunny morning with over 30 teams attending spread out over 6 pitches. We had the premiership teams on the grass pitch,
championship 1,2,3 & 4 playing on the 3G and the League playing in the sports hall.
Walking round the venue you could feel the excitement as they played a game they all enjoy playing.
Brian Gray, chairman said when asked about what this means to people, “You only have to speak to anyone here today and they all will say the same thing, it’s for the players. It is a sense of pride that we are able to provide this for all who attend and I always leave with the satisfaction of knowing everyone has enjoyed there self.
“Without the league many would not get the opportunity to compete against others apart from in friendlies. We work hard to put these events on and have a committee that are second to none.”
