Folkestone Invicta’s Grand Fireworks Display has been hailed ‘a massive success’ after a sell-out crowd of 1,400 enjoyed themselves at the Fullicks Stadium on a mild Sunday evening.

Chairman Paul Morgan said: “This took a lot of organising by Mark (Hardie) and the others closely involved and we’ve got to thank everyone for making the evening such a success.

“Special thanks to all our volunteer stewards who helped things run smoothly.”

Manager Neil Cugley added: “I’m really pleased for Mark especially

“He was a great help to me at the Paul Parker night on Thursday as well and I understand that the Christmas bookings are also going well.

” We were going to have the fireworks again last November after a gap of several years, but that fell through at quite short notice in the end, but to get a sell-out crowd of well over a thousand was brilliant for a community club like this.”
