It’s fifteenth against third on Saturday as FC Elmstead host Holmesdale in the SCEFL Div One at Lower Road in Hextable.
Elmstead go into the game on the back of a heavy defeat 7-1 at league leaders Kennington last weekend, with new signing Javlon Campbell scoring the ‘stead goal and they will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Lee Roots’ in form Holmesdale, who were 3-0 winners over Greenways at Oakley Road last Saturday.
Ennio Gonnella’s side have won one and drawn one of their opening six league games, while Dale have won their last four league games, also winning their FA Vase match against AFC Varndenians.
Jerome Walker has notched four goals for the home side thus far this campaign, while Shameek Farrell is top scorer with five for Dale.
The two sides are well known to each other with Elmstead having played their home matches at Oakley Road prior to the move to BR7.
Last season in February, FC Elmstead won this fixture 2-1, while Homesdale won their home game back in September 3-1.
This should be an interesting match up between fairly local sides both keen to get the win.
