Simon Rudd is back in 2022 defending his Focus Cup Racing title that he won last season. Last weekend he took two wins and a second place at Snetterton.

Today he brings us his race report from the latest round of the 2022 season.

Round 4 of the Focus Cup Racing at Snetterton in the GRD Lifts & Engineering Services Ltd car.

We took our first pole of the season and followed it up with a hard fought win.

The reverse grid meant a P6 start for race 2 and after battling our way through we took the lead with a lap to go making it 2 from 2, as well as taking the fastest lap.

The random grid draws haven’t been kind to me and gave me a P8 start for the final race of the day. The job was made harder after contact put me into a spin on lap 2 but got my head down and managed to get back to 2nd with another fastest lap.

This weekend, we’ve proved the point we needed to and we will see what happens from here.
