Gillingham will have an Essex double-header in July, with pre-season friendlies against Braintree Town and Billericay Town now confirmed.
Justin Edinburgh’s team will travel across the river to face Braintree at the Avanti Stadium on Tuesday, July 19 in a 7.45pm kick-off.
The Iron, now managed by former Welling United and Ebbsfleet United boss Jamie Day, lost in the National League play-off semi-final to Grimsby in May.
Tickets for the game, subject to confirmation, will cost £10 for adults (terracing and seats) and £7 for concessions (terracing and seats). Under-18s will enjoy free entry into the terraced stands.
Twenty four hours later (Wednesday, July 20), the Gills will head to New Lodge for a fixture against Craig Edwards’s Billericay Town.
The Blues finished ninth in the Isthmian League Premier Division last season, the seventh tier of English football.
We are currently awaiting ticket information for this match.
These two fixtures take Gillingham’s pre-season fixture tally to five at present, with games against Barnet (July 23), Dartford (July 26) and Leyton Orient (July 30) previously confirmed.
The Sky Bet League One season begins on August 6, and Gillingham’s home season tickets are now on general sale.
