Southern Counties East Football League Club Erith Town entertain Windsor F.C. on Sunday in the second round of the F.A. Vase.
They have already negotiated three rounds to get this far and should they manage to defeat Windsor, they will equal their best ever run in the tournament.
In the first qualifying round they drew 1-1 after extra time at St. Francis Rangers before winning the replay 2-0. Then in the second qualifying round they claimed a hard fought one nil victory over Mile Oak, courtesy of a 22nd minute penalty by Ryan Golding.
Pagham F.C. were the visitors in the first round and the Dockers enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 win. Danny Gannon opened the scoring, Adem Ramadan notched a brace and Jim Day also put his name on the score sheet
That seemed to give them a confidence boost as they then visited Cray Valley Paper Mills and won 4-2.
Hollands and Blair were next to be put to the sword by a scoreline of 2-1. Stedman Callender opened the scoring in the first half and Dan Palfrey made it two with a direct free kick. The visitors scored deep into injury time but it was too late to make a difference.
Last weekend, Erith visited AFC Croydon. For the third consecutive match, Callehdar put them ahead but their run of four consecutive wins ended when the Rams levelled with the last kick of the match.
Windsor have also won through three rounds to get this far beating Devizes 2-1, Whitchurch United 8-0, both at home, then winning 5-2 at Flackwell Heath in the last round.
After losing their first game in October, they have won eight league and cup games on the spin so they will also be high on confidence. There is one familiar face in their line up, Barry Hayles the 45 year old former Fulham striker.
