Erith Town host league leaders and form side Phoenix Sports on Wednesday night at The Badgers Sports Ground.
Both sides go into this fixture unbeaten in 2015 albeit The Dockers are yet to play this year with their last game being a 4-0 home defeat to Corinthians before Christmas.
In the opposing corner Phoenix Sports are riding high after an away win at Bodmin Town in the fourth round of the FA Vase last weekend.
The Dockers’ form over the past few games have seen them fare better at home than on their travels whilst visitors Phoenix Sports have won their last 13 games in a row in all competitions and scoring freely – In December recording impressive wins at home to Holmesdale (10-0) and away at Croydon (5-0).
The visitors will certainly be looking forward to a local trip after the aforementioned trip to Bodmin and the FA Vase QF draw being unfriendly to them with an away trip to North Shields on the horizon and it is in the FA Vase that these two sides last met back in November in the Second Round Proper in a repeat of this fixture – Phoenix coming out as 3-0 victors – Something that no doubt The Dockers will be looking to put right.
An earlier pairing of the two sides this season saw a share of the spoils and a point each after a goalless draw on August Bank Holiday Monday.
The Sports will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the pile with three points and extend their lead to four, still with a game in hand on fellow FA Vase Quarter Finalists and second placed Erith & Belvedere, whilst The Dockers will be looking for a win to climb out of the bottom two.
