Such is their back-log in the Southern Counties East Football League that Erith Town still have six games remaining to complete in twelve days.
Although the league granted clubs an extension, it was only by two days and all fixtures have to be completed by Monday 30th April. Fortunately, the rain has relented and the clubs may be able to fulfill their obligations.
On Wednesday they host Cray Valley PM who have just the four to play and can do so with a degree of comfort.
At the foot of the table, even if Rochester won all five of their remaining fixtures, they cannot catch the Dockers who are fourth from bottom. They are not having the best of times at present and since their stunning 2-1 win at league leaders Sevenoaks Town in February, they have failed to claim another victory.
Two draws followed but they have lost five on the spin since then with their most recent a 5-1 defeat at home to Corinthian.
Visitors Cray Valley are having a happier time..They have won their last three and only tasted deferat once in their last eight games. On Saturday the Millers defeated Hollands and Blair 2-1 to move them up to sixth place in the league.
When the two teams met at Cray Valley back in October, Erith won 4-2 but a lot has happened at both clubs since then.
