Two second half goals gave Erith and Belvedere the bragging rights in their derby win at Erith Town. 

After a tight first forty-five minutes, the visitors scored immediately after the break and after they had added a second, they cruised to a comfortable victory.

Henry Dasofunjo had the first shot on target for the Deres but Jack Moore made a straight-forward save. Dasofunjo then picked out Ashley Carew on debut, but his shot lacked power and Moore saved easily.

Michael Power had the Dockers’ first effort but Rilwan Anibaba was not unduly worried in making the save.

Veterans Marlon Patterson and Carew then combined to create another opportunity but Benga Ogunseye headed over before Tyler Anderson-Parr caught a defender dithering but shot meekly at Moore.

Dasofunjo was again in the action when cutting in and drawing a good save out of Moore however Town had the last chance of the first half when Dan Palfrey slung in a free kick but Taylor McDonaugh’s first time shot flew high and wide.

Just two minutes after the break, the Deres went ahead. Ollie Bate’s quick turn in the penalty area drew a foul and a spot kick was awarded. Ogunseye stepped up and slotted home.

Jude Jeffrey looked for a quick response but fired just over before the visitors again went close when Bate met a Dasofunjo near post cross but his first time shot went narrowly wide.

Ogunseye couldn’t keep his close range shot down when at full stretch then Moore had to get down sharply to save from Bate. Jack White hit a shot for the hosts that struck a defender to send Anibaba the wrong way but it flew just past the post.

Twenty minutes remained when the Deres added the all important second. Anibaba started the move with a superb raking pass that picked out Dasofunjo and he pulled it back to Bate who crashed it home giving Moore no chance. 

Bate had a header pushed out by Moore before Ogunseye headed wide from a Carew corner. 

White flashed a volley over from a Palfrey free kick before, at the other end, Bate finished well from an Anderson-Parr but was denied by an offside flag.

A long shot from Power hit the stanchion, but from the wrong side of the goal then his free kick was met by Jeffrey but he was unable to get over it and it flew over.

Power had the last chance of the match but his fierce volley was tipped onto the bar and over by Anibaba
