Gillingham have confirmed that loan striker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has returned to Queens Park Rangers.
The 26-year-old made 35 appearances for the Gills, scoring 10 goals having signed in the summer on loan and had been set to stay until the end of the campaign.
A statement from the club wished the striker well:
“We thank him for his efforts during his six-and-a-half-months with the club, and wish him the best for the future.”
Rumours about why Emmanuel-Thomas has left Priestfield are circulating with Ady Pennock now a striking option short for the remainder of the League One campaign.
