Second place Bromley travel to Ebbsfleet United in eighth on Tuesday night knowing a win would see them usurp league leaders Boreham Wood at the top of Conference South at least until the weekend.
The last time Bromley visited Stonebridge Road they were on the end of a 4-0 thumping in the promotion play off semi final back in May, going 2—0 and being reduced to ten men within the first eight minutes of the first leg.
Mark Goldberg will be looking to erase the bitter memory of that night and put down a marker for the rest of the season as the Hayes Lane club head into a number of fixtures against fellow challengers over the next few weeks.
Jamie Day has radically changed the Fleet squad since taking over in December, bringing in a number of quality players from a higher level but it’s taking a while for the new arrivals to settle in.
If they do hit a patch of form going into the spring no one will want to face them in the play offs at the end of the campaign as they look to go one better than last year.
Two departures from the squad that started the season Ben May & Anthony Cook have now joined Bromley and will be looking to prove a point against their former club.
Both sides drew 1-1 on Saturday against teams struggling at the bottom end of the table and both will be looking for much needed wins, although a draw would probably suit The Ravens a little better at this stage.
