Ebbsfleet United are offering season-ticket holders a rollover of all their matches from 2020/21 into next season for no extra charge.
When the Vanarama National League South season was cut short, like other clubs the Fleet had to address the issue of loyal supporters who had put their hands in their pockets in the middle of the pandemic to outlay hard-earned money on a season-ticket for 2020/21.
A straight refund minus streaming costs or requests to waive the refund and donate the balance back to the club were all options that might have been considered but the Fleet have instead chosen to welcome loyal season-ticket holders back in August by extending their ST deal across the two seasons of ’20/21 and ’21/22 in full.
A statement released by the club shows the level of support Ebbsfleet United have given to their fans:
“With money likely to be tight for many supporters as we emerge out of lockdown, the Fleet have moved quickly to allay any fears our season-ticket holders may have had about the affordability of their football when we return – support is a two-way thing and like any football club, we both need and value that support, particularly with all of the uncertainty surrounding the game in recent months.”
“Supporters have been quick to welcome the gesture by the club on social-media channels and forums following an email and website release of the news.”
“With the Fleet’s 75th anniversary approaching in 2021/22, the club is determined to make it a landmark year on and off the pitch as we hopefully welcome supporters back into Stonebridge Road after an enforced absence of almost 18 months.”
“This follows 12 months of carefully planned growth and ongoing operational improvement at the club, with huge efforts in raising standards off and on the pitch by our hard-working staff and volunteers.”
