Ebbsfleet United have been forced to postpone their next three matches after a number of players and staff tested positive for Covid-19.
After Welling United had a similar issue just before the weekend, Ebbsfleet United issued the following statement:
“The club have been notified of positive Covid-19 tests among some players and support staff.
As a result, we have taken the decision, along with The National League, to postpone this Saturday’s match at Dorking Wanderers.
Following these COVID-19 events, the playing squad and staff have entered a 14-day period of self-isolation, taking the advice of Public Health England and the League Medical Officer.
Further to the postponement of Saturday’s match, the below games are also postponed and will be rescheduled to be played at a later date:
Slough Town v Ebbsfleet United – December 1st
Ebbsfleet United v Concord Rangers – December 5th
We continue to be guided by Public Health England and National League protocols in this period.
As a result of this latest development, club-shop collections for any shop orders will cease during this period. You can continue to order online for postal delivery – if you have any questions around your orders, do email [email protected] but please be aware that we may take longer than usual to respond under the circumstances.
As ever, we thank our fans for their understanding and unwavering support this season and as has been the case throughout recent events, we look forward to resuming as soon as it is safe and practical to do so.”
