Welling United continue their pursuit of the Blue Square Bet South championship when they travel to the South coast for their Easter Monday game at Eastbourne Borough.
Following their Good Friday win over fourth placed Chelmsford City, they will be keen to keep build on the momentum.
Jamie Day and Loui Fazakerley are ruled out of playing against their former club by suspension and injury respectively. Jack Obersteller sustained an injury on Good Friday although it is hoped that he will recover. If not, Barney Williams or George Craddock may deputise.
Eastbourne’s comfortable 2-0 victory at Bromley on Saturday took them to fifteenth place in the league but still only three points above the relegation zone so they will not be short of motivation.
The Wings defeated the Sports at Park View Road way back in September thanks to goals from Ross Lafayette and Kiernan Hughes-Mason.
Last season, Welling also visited Priory Lane at Easter and returned home with a comfortable 3-0 win. Joe Healy’s penalty put Welling ahead and Loick Pires added a second before half time. Pires completed a brace for Welling’s third in the second period as the Wings ran out comfortable winners.
A full coach, along with many supporters travelling by road and public transport, suggests Welling will have a good following once again.
