The Invicta Dynamos will begin their 2015/16 campaign on home ice against the Bracknell Hornets.
The Berkshire outfit travel to Kent for the NIHL South Division 1 curtain raiser on Sunday 20th September.
So far the Mos will compete on two fronts during the regular season as they look to mount a title challenge in the NIHL South Division 1 whilst defending their NIHL Southern Cup crown.
The campaign, which currently features 40 fixtures, will run from September until the close of March with the playoffs then set to follow swiftly in April.
NIHL South Division 1
Current Holders: Chelmsford Chieftains
The NIHL South’s top tier once again includes ten sides set to battle it out for the right to be crowned champions and teams will face each other four times in the competition on a two at home and two away basis. After all 36 league fixtures have been played the team finishing in last place faces potential relegation to the NIHL South Division 2.
NIHL Southern Playoffs
Current Holders: Wightlink Raiders
The top eight sides in the NIHL South Division 1 come the end of March will progress to the post season and the playoffs which retain their knockout format. The NIHL Southern Playoffs will take place in April with the first round of fixtures based on final league positions:
1st place v 8th place
2nd place v 7th place
3rd place v 6th place
4th place v 5th place
NIHL Southern Cup
Current Holders: Invicta Dynamos
The Mos will be hoping to retain the NIHL Southern Cup they lifted in March 2015 but will face competition from five other sides when the tournament gets underway in late September. Teams have been drawn into two groups:
Group A – Chelmsford Chieftains, Invicta Dynamos and London Raiders.
Group B – Solent Devils, Streatham Redskins and Wightlink Raiders.
Clubs will face each other twice in group games on a one at home and one away basis. The top two sides in each group will then progress to closing stages of the competition which will be held over two legs:
Semi-finals (27th and 28th February)
Winner Group A v Runner-up Group B
Winner Group B v Runner-up Group A
Final (26th and 27th March)
Winner Semi-final 1 v Winner Semi-final 2
