Head Coach Kevin Parrish is looking forward to one of the biggest weekends of the season as Invicta Dynamos face Wightlink Raiders twice.
The two sides go head to head in the NIHL Southern Cup on the Isle of Wight on Saturday night before returning to face one another at Gillingham in the NIHL Southeast Trophy on Sunday evening.
Wightlink have already shown they are the form team in the league this season, leading the league by two points after just six games, but the Dynamos will be more than a match for them as they’ve only been beaten the once so far in this campaign.
With both Dan Fudger and Nicky Lewis back from injury and the return of record points scorer Andy Smith back on the roster, the Dynamos will go into this weekend with a strong squad in which to choose from and despite Alan Lack leaving the Dynamos this week, Parrish believes his side will be up for the challenge:
“It’s a tough weekend ahead of us which we are fully prepared for. It’s both cup competitions this week, but our mindset doesn’t change.”
“We are in these games to win it and our mindset doesn’t change from the league.”
Both games are set to be close encounters with the Wightlink Raiders unbeaten so far this season, but the Dynamos have shown they can be more than a match for anyone on their day.
Face off on Sunday is 5:15pm with ticket infortmation available from www.invictadynamos.co.uk
