The Invicta Dynamos face a big test tonight as they face the Chelmsford Chieftains in the South East Trophy.
Kevin Parrish’s side head to Essex for a game that will see the Kent side rest some key personnel.
The likes of Damien King, Steve Osman and Callum Fowler may be given the night off as the Dynamos look to rest certain individuals with five games in the space of nine days.
Having picked up a win and a draw in the league last weekend, the Dynamos face a choice of where their priorities lie and the South East Trophy is most likely at the bottom of the wishlist.
With the Chieftains having won all four of their Trophy games so far, including a 4-2 win over the Dynamos, the title is all but in their hands.
As it stands, the Dynamos have only played that one Trophy game against the Chieftains, with two fixtures against the Streatham Redskins still to be arranged and two against the London Raiders in the schedule.
Defeat tonight, and the South East Trophy will already be beyond the Dynamos’ grasp.
With that in mind, Kevin Parrish will most likely use tonight’s game to give crucial ice time to his roster, with the likes of Steve Nightingale, Jack Lee, Bradley Gutridge and Jarvis Mewett given the chance to impress.
There is an 8pm face off over in Essex and the Dynamos will be hoping it’s not too late of a finish with two more fixtures this coming weekend.
They entertain Oxford City Stars on Saturday night before heading to Milton Keynes on Sunday evening to take on the Thunder side.
