It’s a massive weekend for the Invicta Dynamos as they face Streatham Redskins in the NIHL Southern Cup semi-finals.
The two legged affair will see the two local sides go head to head for a place in the final with the Kent outfit keen to defend the title they won last season.
Kevin Parrish’s side go into the game on the back of a strong last weekend, winning their league encounter at Cardiff NIHL Devils 6-2 and then returning to Gillingham to comfortably beat London Raiders 7-0 in the South East Trophy.
This weekend will be a much sterner test for the Dynamos with the games against Streatham this season having been tight, physical matches.
For Parrish, he wants his side to keep their focus and not get embroiled in a scrappy two legged game:
“It’s a big test for us this weekend and we have to stay focused.”
“We have to play the game the way it’s meant to be played and see where it takes us.”
The Dynamos should be at full strength for the weekend with Parrish having the luxury of a fully fit roster in which to choose from.
Last weekend Parrish was able to use almost four lines and he’ll be hoping to have all options available to him.
A big crowd is anticipated for the 2nd leg at Silver Blades in Gillingham on Sunday night with doors opening at 4:30pm and face off at 5:15pm.
