The Invicta Dynamos face two crucial games this weekend as they look to book their place in the play-off final.

Kevin Parrish’s side edged their way into the last four, beating Solent Devils 11-10 on aggregate after an epic two legged tie last weekend.

The Kent side were able to pick up a creditable 3-3 draw away from home last Saturday and seemingly were cruising in the home leg twenty four hours later, but in the end won 8-7 in an entertaining game in Gillingham.

With Milton Keynes Thunder next on the fixture list, the Dynamos head North on Saturday afternoon for the first game of the two legged semi-final before returning to Kent for the crucial second clash on Sunday evening.

A place in the final against either Wightlink Raiders or London Raiders awaits the winners after league winners Chelmsford Chieftains were thrown out of the play-offs for icing an illegible player against London Raiders last weekend.

The Dynamos have a good record in Milton Keynes this season, winning 4-1 in the league back in December and then 3-2 back in February.

However, the side that finished sixth in the league will be no walkover with Milton Keynes Thunder having won 6-2 in Gillingham when the two teams met at the end of January.

The Dynamos will go into this weekend with almost full strength roster in which to choose from with Mark Lee, Mark McGill and Steve Nightingale fighting it out for the two netminder berths.

Frankie Harvey will once again be missing due to work commitments, although defenceman Harrison Lillis could return having had surgery on a broken nose.

With the firepower at the Dynamos disposal and both Callum Fowler and Juraj Huska having been named in the league team of the year, it should be a great couple of games with fans set to flock to Gillingham on Sunday evening in their numbers.

The lure of another final should be more than enough of an incentive for the Dynamos to put in another 120 minutes of fantastic ice hockey this weekend.
