The Invicta Dynamos will need to overturn a two goal deficit in Gillingham on Sunday night to make it through the play-offs.
Kevin Parrish’s side trail the Cardiff NIHL Devils after losing 6-4 in Wales on Saturday evening, but will feel confident they can turn the tie around after battling back from 5-1 down.
The game had started so well for the Dynamos, leading in the tenth minute through top scorer Andy Smith, but three unanswered strikes in the first period saw them trail 3-1 after the first period.
It was to get even worse for the Dynamos as they conceded twice more in the opening four minutes of the second period, but Smith was to score his second of the game in the 37th minute.
After a break, the Dynamos came out fighting in the third period and Canadian imports Peter Vaisanen and Justin Noble were to get themselves on the scoresheet to bring the game back to 5-4.
Despite conceding once more in the 51st minute, the Dynamos defended well to keep the deficit to just two and will feel confident of making it through to the semi-final stage.
Face off is 5:15pm at the Silver Blades Ice Bowl in Gillingham on Sunday evening with more information available from www.invictadynamos.com
