The Invicta Dynamos made it a four point weekend with a tight 5-4 victory over Bracknell Hornets on Sunday evening.
Kevin Parrish’s side went into the game at the Silver Blades Ice Bowl in Gillingham having beaten Solent & Gosport 4-1 on Saturday night.
Two goals from Peter Vaisanen and one apiece from Nathaniel Rose and Andy Smith secured the two points for the Dynamos.
In what turned out to be a tense game, the Dynamos were forced to battle hard against a determined Bracknell side, but it was the Mos that went in after the first period leading 1-0 thanks to Andy Smith’s goal.
Bracknell were level just after the half an hour mark, but Peter Vaisanen restored the lead for the Dynamos within a minute.
The game swung back and forth yet again towards the end of the second period with Bracknell levelling once again, only for Justin Noble to score for the Dynamos.
Tim Smith took the lead out to 4-2 five minutes into the final period with Bracknell pulling one back once again with namesake Andy scoring his second of the game on 52 minutes.
It was to be a nervy end of the game for the Dynamos as the visitors brought the score back to 5-4 with just over four minutes to play, but they held on for a vital two points.
The double victory takes the Dynamos up to fourth in the National Ice Hockey League South, three points clear of the Cardiff NIHL Devils with six league games left to play this season.
