Dynamos make first summer signing

Head Coach Kevin Parrish has begun his summer signings with a bang following the news that 20 year old Bracknell Bees forward Alan Lack has signed a contract with the Invicta Dynamos for the 2013/14 campaign.Alan Lack

Alan Lack rose through the ranks in Berkshire and made his first appearance in the ENIHL in 2008/09 aged just 16. In the season that followed, the promising skater then split his time between the juniors and the Bracknell Hornets, for whom he managed 14 goals and 11 assists in league competition, before later being called up for his first EPL appearance in 2010/11.

He would continue to divide his time between both the Hornets and the Bees in 2011/12 before eventually making the full time step up to the league above last year having played a total of 101 ENIHL games for 52 goals, 61 assists and so 113 points.

Now, featuring for the most senior side at the John Nike Leisuresport Complex, Lack appeared 45 times in the black and yellow of the Bees, netting 8 goals and playing a hand in 3 more for 11 points whilst also tallying 106 minutes of penalties.

However, having just penned a contract in Gillingham, the boisterous skater will now spend his next campaign with the Dynamos where he hopes to hit the ground running when the puck drops in September.

Speaking on his move to Kent, forward Alan Lack revealed he was excited about the switch and looking forward to making his first appearance at the Silver Blades.

Lack said, “I believe signing for Invicta next season is a great move for me and hopefully a great move for the club. The Dynamos play a style of hockey that will most definitely suit my approach to the game and so I’m confident it’s an ideal match”.

The skater then continued to add, “As this is my first ever move away from Bracknell I don’t know exactly what to expect but I have heard positive things from other players and I’m sure I will be made to feel very welcome by the players, coaches and the fans. Here’s to a good season!”

Meanwhile Head Coach Kevin Parrish announced that he too was very pleased with the move – his first of the summer – when he said, “I’m delighted to bring Alan to Gillingham as he is a player whose style I have admired for some time. He might not be the tallest, but he is strong unit and plays with an edge to his game that would make you think he’s a 6ft 6 power forward!”

Parrish continued to say, “Having now spent a full year in the EPL, Alan has valuable experience under his belt whilst his record at our level was excellent before he made the step up last campaign. He brings goals, assists and hard hitting game to the ice and I’ve no doubt he will become a popular character in Gillingham”.

Alan Lack is the Invicta Dynamos’ first signing of the off season as Head Coach Kevin Parrish looks to tinker with his side and the former Bracknell forward will wear number 22 for his new club from September.
