It’s a time for doing and not talking this weekend according to Invicta Dynamos Head Coach Kevin Parrish.

After last Sunday’s humiliating 9-0 loss to home to title rivals Chelmsford Chieftains, the Dynamos are on the road this weekend as they face Oxford City Stars on Saturday night before travelling to Milton Keynes Thunder on Sunday evening.

The defeat to the Chieftains has left the Dynamos second in the NIHL South, two points behind their Essex rivals having played three games more.

With games fast running out this season and Chelmsford seemingly set to keep the league title, the Dynamos will look yo use this weekend to restore some faith with the fans after the desperately poor performance in Gillingham on Sunday night.

The Dynamos have just seven league fixtures left in this campaign, but face Wightlink Raiders in the NIHL Southern Cup semi-finals at the end of the month and will have a chance to win more silverware when the play-offs come around in about six weeks time.

Before that, they must look to salvage something from this league campaign and for Parrish, who didn’t want to comment after last weekend’s defeat, this weekend is all about getting back to winning ways:

“There’s no more time for talking, it’s a time for doing.” said Parrish.

With so few words, it epitomises the hurt Parrish endured after seeing his side capitulate in Gillingham last weekend.

Saturday may well be Valentine’s Day, but there will little love from the Dynamos fans if their side fail to beat Oxford City Stars on Saturday night and follow that up with another win on Sunday.

For the players that have shown that they can compete with the best this season, now is the time to stand up and be counted as it’s the business end of the season.
