Dynamos looking to book final spot

The Invicta Dynamos are just two games away from a place in the play-off final as they face Wightlink Raiders this weekend.

Kevin Parrish’s side comfortably booked their place in the last four with a 7-4 aggregate win over Milton Keynes Thunder last weekend and they’ll be looking to secure a similar result over the coming days against their opponents.

The Dynamos just pipped the Raiders into second spot in the league, but there has been very little between the two sides over the 2015/16 season.

This weekend the Dynamos will head to the Isle of Wight on Saturday evening looking to return to Gillingham with the game still in the balance and they will be buoyed by the return of import Eriks Ozollapa who missed the last three games due to suspension.

Ozollapa’s return will give Head Coach, Kevin Parrish, another option going forward and hopefully it will be enough to beat a Wightlink side that will see player coach Jeremy Cornish hang up his boots at the end of this campaign.

With the two sides having faced one another four times throughout the league campaign, with each winning one and two draws, there’s very little between the two rosters, but star forward Callum Fowler feels the Dynamos will be able to book their place in the final if they play to their potential:

“It’s obviously going to be a very tough weekend, we know that, but if we can keep things solid and keep it close on the Saturday there’s no reason we can’t do what we’ve done against Milton Keynes, turn them over and look forward to the final the week after.”

The Dynamos will go into the game as ever so slight favourites, but will need to ensure the tie is still in the balance ahead of Sunday’s second leg in Gillingham.

With Olympian Jack Green in attendance, the Dynamos will hope to book their place in the final against either Chelmsford Chieftains or Streatham Redskins in the final.
