Dynamos looking for new import

The Invicta Dynamos have confirmed that Player-Coach Anthony Leone has made the decision to release Slovakian forward Filip Sedivy from his contract and is already on the hunt for a replacement ‘import’ to join up with the team for the remainder of 2019/20.

Filip Sedivy spent time in Slovakia, America, Canada and Germany before moving to UK shores and to Romford for 2018/19. After a debut campaign in which he managed 32 points in 41 outings for the Raiders, the Slovakian then switched to the Dynamos for 2019/20 looking to firmly establish himself in the NIHL South Division 1. Since the start of the campaign Sedivy has recorded 12 assists but struggled in front of net with 4 goals to his name in 18 appearances. Player-Coach Anthony Leone has therefore made the decision to release the forward from his contract in favour of signing another non-EIHA trained player.

Speaking on the release of Sedivy, Anthony Leone said, “I would like to thank Filip for his professionalism and effort whilst at the club both of which were beyond question. Unfortunately I feel we need a greater goals return to be more competitive in our division and therefore have made the decision to look for a replacement. I wish Filip all the best for the future”

Speaking on his plans for the remainder of the campaign the Player-Coach added, “I have already been on the lookout for another ‘import’ to bolster the roster and will hopefully have some news to release in the near future”.

The Invicta Dynamos return to action without Filip Sedivy this coming weekend as they face the Haringey Huskies on the road on Saturday before hosting the Oxford City Stars in Gillingham on Sunday.
