Hard working forwards Brad Gutridge and Jack Lee are to return to the Invicta Dynamos again in 2015/16.
The pair have extended their contracts with the Mos to spend another campaign in the NIHL South Division 1.
Brad Gutridge earned a full roster spot with the Dynamos last term after impressing Head Coach Kevin Parrish whilst stepping up to cover injuries in the opening half of 2014/15.
The forward had previously plied his trade in the NIHL South Division 2 with the Invicta Mustangs having first pulled on the jersey of the second tier outfit in 2009/10.
His excellent work ethic and drive made him a key figure for the side and caught the attention of Coach Parrish who called him up for Division 1 action when in need of skaters soon after the start of the campaign.
However, far from making up the numbers, Gutridge made the most of his top tier outings with several energetic performances and went on to secure a place for the rest of the season – eventually appearing in 42 fixtures.
Now he will be hoping to continue his development as he signs up again for a first full term in the NIHL South Division 1 with the Mos at the Silver Blades Gillingham.
Meanwhile 19 year old Jack Lee’s return to the Dynamos from the London Raiders in early January was a homecoming for the forward who had previously risen through the ranks in Kent before representing the Invicta Mustangs in the NIHL South Division 2 come 2012/13.
The following year he would return for the side whilst splitting his time with the Guildford Phoenix under 18s before later switching to the Haringey Racers of Alexandra Palace.
At the start of 2014/15 the London Raiders then secured his services but he would end the campaign in Gillingham with the Dynamos making 27 appearances and lifting the NIHL Southern Cup for his hometown club.
Now he will be hoping for similar success as he pens a deal that will keep him at the Silver Blades for the duration of 2015/16.
Speaking on the signings of Brad Gutridge and Jack Lee, Head Coach Kevin Parrish said, “Both Brad and Jack improved a lot over the course of last season to earn their roster spots again this time around.”
“They bring a work rate and energy to the ice that is important over the full course of a campaign and offer the team a different dimension going forward.”
“In addition both players can take care of themselves should the game get physical, both continue to learn and develop quickly and, being local lads, both are determined to do whatever it takes to put the Mos on top.”
“They are a useful option to have available and I look forward to working with the pair again come September”.
The return of Brad Gutridge and Jack Lee takes the Dynamos roster to 12 with further player news to follow in the next week as the curtain raiser to 2015/16 draws closer.
