The Invicta Dynamos brought Christmas cheer to Demelza Hospice Care for Children by dropping off 260 cuddly toys this morning.
On Sunday night, the Dynamos fans were encouraged to bring a soft toy to the game against the Streatham Redskins at the Silver Blades Ice Bowl in Gillingham and the generous spirit from those in attendance exceeded all expectations.
The 260 cuddly toys were bagged up following the 8-2 victory and taken to donate to the children at Demelza near Sittingbourne.
Head Coach Kevin Parrish and Dynamos owner Jackie Mason were joined by players Justin Noble, Peter Vaisanen and Adam Copland as they handed out the toys to the children at the hospice.
There was also chance for some of the guys to get stuck in and have a bit of fun with the kids, enjoying some of the great facilities that Demelza has to help children at a very difficult time.
The team at Demelza took the time to give the Dynamos visitors a guided tour of the hospice and explained that £1 million worth of funding is needed each year to provide the services they do for children with life limiting illnesses.
