Head Coach Kevin Parrish wants his Invicta Dynamos side to finish off their league campaign with victory against Streatham Redskins on Sunday.
The two sides face one another this weekend in what will be a repeat of last weekend’s fixture with the Redskins coming out on top 7-4 in what was an entertaining battle.
The gloves were well and truly off in that game with Harrison Lillis and Jack Tarczycki coming to blows with the Redskins man laying three punches on his former team-mate whilst laying on the ice that left the Dynamos man with a broken nose and a black eye.
With that in mind, Sunday’s game could see the two teams square up with nothing really to play for as the Dynamos are guaranteed second place in the league, although the Redskins will be hoping to secure third spot ahead of the play-offs.
The Dynamos have the NIHL Southern Cup Final againsy Chelmsford Chieftains next weekend, but Parrish wants his team to go into that game on the back of a victory and finish the league on a high ahead of the play-offs:
“We need to finish the season with a win and not get into any penalty trouble as we have the Cup Final to play the following week.”
That is a warning to his players not to get too involved with a physical Streatham team, although after last weekend, fans can expect a lively game in Gillingham with face off at 5:15pm.
