Cue is a familiar name to Dartford fans, as he is a product of the youth system at the club, coming through the academy, last season the 20-year-old spent much of the season out on loan at VCD Athletic. He has impressed the management team during pre-season and has earned himself a deal with the club.
Speaking about the signing of Cue, the management duo of Adam Flanagan and Jamie Coyle said: ”Alfie has been the big surprise to come out of pre-season for us. We feel he has a lot to learn and developing to do but we see potential and want to progress things with him to see what can be achieved.
“A lot will come down to Alfie and how he applies himself in training, and how he integrates within the group. But if he works hard in every aspect then it could be a very interesting season for him.”
Also joining Cue is midfielder Mensah who was playing with Whitehawk last season, with the 26-year-old adding some competition to the midfield area.
Giving their thoughts on the signing of Mensah, the management duo added: “Simon has come to the club and really impressed with his enthusiasm, work rate and communication. He will come into the CM part of the team with Elliot and Lee, giving good competition for places.”
