Coventry City have recalled defender Declan Drysdale from his loan spell at Gillingham, becoming the third player to leave Priestfield in a week.
Drysdale’s recall by his parent club sees another player leave Gillingham, with fellow Sky Blue Josh Eccles leaving last week, whilst midfielder Scott Robertson was recalled from his loan spell by Celtic on Monday evening.
Twenty-one year old Drysdale made 15 appearances for The Gills across all competitions before the end of his loan-spell.
His last appearance in a Gillingham shirt came in the 1-0 loss at home to Burton Albion at Priestfield on Saturday with Drysdale substituted at half time.
With Drysdale now joining Eccles and Robertson in leaving Priestfield, Gills manager Steve Evans will now assess his options ahead of Saturday’s trip to Accrington Stanley.
There are rumours that on loan Arsenal duo Trae Coyle and Zech Medley could also be leaving the club before the weekend.
