Kent trampolinist Kat Driscoll has been confirmed as going to the London Olympics after an announcement was made today.

The 26 year old from Chatham will be part of Team GB as she looks to medal in the games.

Driscoll has been regarded as one of Team GB’s greatest chances of securing a gold in London and she was thrilled when the news was announced today:

“It was a long qualifying process for trampolining, but it’s great to get it over with and be able to say I’m going to be going to the Olympics,” said Driscoll.

“I’ve always dreamed of competing in an Olympic Games, and now I’m going to get my chance.”

“The training has been going really well and hopefully I’ll produce some clean jumps down in London and see how I go.”

“It’s a massive honour to get the place and incredibly exciting to think it’s all so close now.”
