Kat Driscoll underlined her London 2012 aspirations as she claimed European synchro trampolining silver in St Petersburg.
Driscoll, the former world number one from Chatham, secured Team GB a women’s quota place at London 2012 by reaching the final of the 2011 World Championship, where she finished a disappointing last.
Although her selection is not yet assured, she sat out the individual event in Russia, in which British team-mate Laura Gallagher claimed bronze, but combined with Amanda Parker to claim second in the synchro, which is unfortunately not part of the Olympic schedule.
Driscoll, 25, and Parker finished less than a point behind gold medallists, Belarus pair Tatsiana Piatrenia – the individual gold medallist – and Svitalana Makshtarova.
And they also combined with Gallagher and Emma Smith to win the European team title, ahead of the Ukraine and Belarus.
