Dover Athletic have boosted their squad ahead of the upcoming pre season campaign with a trio of signings on Thursday.
The club announced that they have signed defender William De Havilland and midfielders Kurtis Cumberbatch and Oscar Gobern.
De Havilland is already well versed in the highest level of Kent’s non league football scene, having played for Maidstone United last season after leaving Wycombe Wanderers.
The centre back played 42 games for Maidstone in 2018/19, scoring three goals and picking up 6 bookings. He joined the Whites after his relegation release clause was triggered at the Gallagher Stadium.
He came through the youth system at Millwall before joining Sheffield Wednesday and has also spent time at Aldershot Town.
One of of two midfielders to be announced on Thursday was left sided Cumberbatch, who joins the Crabble side on a two year deal.
This is a step up the levels for the 23 year old, who spent last season at Farnborough, after spending two years at Harrow Borough.
Cumberbatch has also played for Welling and Hadley after leaving the youth setup at Charlton.
The final of the three new faces on the coast is Oscar Gobern, who Andy Hessenthaler has brought in from Eastleigh.
He was a guaranteed name on the team sheet last season, having made 45 appearances across 2018/19 for the Spitfires.
Gobern also has some football league experience under his belt. He started his career on the south coast, picking up one goal in 21 games for Southampton before moving on to Huddersfield.
He played 71 times for the Yorkshire side between 2011 and 2015 but has struggled to spend more than one season at a club since he left.
The central midfielder has had stints at Queens Park Rangers, Mansfield Town, Ross County and Yeovil before signing with Eastleigh where he was takin in by Hessenthaler during his time in charge at the club.
All three players are set to join the club on July 1st.
There was more good news for Dover fans later in the day with the club announcing that midfielder Joe Bedford has had his contract extended for two years.
The 21 year old signed for the club in December of 2018 and has played four times since he joined.
Dover finished 14th in the National League in 2018/19 and will be looking to these new signings to push them up the table in the new season.
