Dover Athletic vs Barrow preview

Dover Athletic will be looking for back to back wins in the National League as they welcome league leaders Barrow to Crabble tonight.

Last time out, Whites beat Stockport County 2-0 to add another win to their impressive away performances this season and now sit three points off the playoff positions.

Barrow have been the surprise package this season as they sit top of the table with 63 points from 32 games and have been unbeaten in all competitions since losing 4-2 to Torquay United in October last year.

Saturday’s comeback victory for Ian Evatt’s side, coincidentally against Torquay, was the Bluebirds 15th league game in a row without defeat.

The home side have moved up to ninth in the table following their win on Saturday and now sit on 47 points from 32 games and will know that a victory against the Cumbrian side on Tuesday night will see them move level on points with Notts County and Bromley who sit in sixth and seventh respectively.

Inih Effiong’s first goals of the new year has moved him to 13 for the season and he will look to kick on and get a few more to help Whites towards a playoff push. Whites defence could, however, be in for a torrid time on Tuesday as they come up against John Rooney and Scott Quigley who have 34 goals between them this season.
