Having seen their winning streak end in Lincoln last weekend, Dover Athletic will look to return to winning ways when they face Bath City in the FA Trophy.
After beating Woking in a replay during midweek, the Whites are just two wins away from the club’s first Wembley Cup final and are coming into the game during one of the best years in the club’s history.
After winning just four league games until late September Dover’s fortunes switched and Chris Kinnear’s team have now lost just four games since October, having reached 12th place in the Conference Premier and having good cup runs in both the FA Cup, where they eventually suffered a 3rd round defeat to Crystal Palace, and the FA Trophy.
Dover’s newest signing Dan Holman will be unavailable for the fourth round game; the 24 year old striker who was signed on Monday spent time on loan at Aldershot earlier in the season meaning he is cup tied for Saturday’s game.
Adam Mekki is also unavailable for the game after he signed from Barnet earlier this season but Tyrone Sterling and Richard Orlu are both expected to start after they signed new deals at Crabble.
Sean Francis, who picked up an injury in the original tie against Woking is not expected to be fit for the fourth round game whilst Liam Bellamy’s fractured hand will also keep him out of the match.
Bath currently sit in 10th place in the Conference South and, being six point off the playoff places, are still looking to return to the top level of non-league football. The Romans have already beaten Conference Premier opposition this year having beaten Bristol City in the first round.
Bath have also get impressive results in the league this season after beating table toppers Boreham Wood twice.
With a place in the two legged semi-final up for grabs, both clubs will be determined to reach a point in the competition which neither of them have reached before. Kick off at Crabble is at 3pm.
