Dover Athletic manager Nicky Forster has continued his clearout of players at the club with two more leaving the club today.
On the back of the news that midfielder Luke I’Anson and defender Sam Cutler had left the club by mutual consent earlier this week, Dover have announced that goalkeeper Ross Kitteridge and winger Nathan Ashton have now departed.
The pair were brought in by former manager Martin Hayes with Ashton signing from Marlow back in March, whilst Kitteridge was signed on a free transfer from Bishop’s Stortford in June.
Both have found opportunities hard to come by of late and weren’t part of Forster’s squad that lost 3-1 at Dartford on Saturday afternoon.
The loss to the Darts takes Dover’s losing streak to four games, three of which are in the league and that has seen the Whites drop to eighth in the Blue Square Bet South league, some eighteen points behind league leaders Woking.
Moving the quartet out of the club should see Forster dip into the market for some new faces with signings expected at The Crabble in the coming weeks.
